Ticket Prices

Apparently bayern fans going protesting about ticket prices when they go to the emirates.not going to go into the ground for the first 5 mins.

No club, even the cream of the Premier League should be allowed to charge any more than £25 for a top seat, too late now I now, but is any Premier League game worth £40, £45, £50+, I think not.

Dad & his son, on a day out at a Premier League game, could arguably cost more than some people earn in a week, ridiculous !!!

Lower prices, higher demand (so long as you've got the spare capacity). The impact of the lower prices on revenues depends on whether the percentage increase in crowds outweighs the percentage reduction in admission price. But even if it doesn't the total matchday revenue might increase to the extent that the extra numbers attracted spend some money on Everton merchandise, programmes etc. At this point of course we come round to the Sodexo and Kitbag deals in that even if crowds do increase and the additional numbers generate more matchday spend Everton will not benefit since we are on a fixed revenue share from these two suppliers. Which makes me wonder, if Everton were still responsible for their own merchandising and refreshment provision would we be more inclined to hold admission prices rather than raise them every season.

I think premier league clubs are only really interested in today and haven't really thought about the future. Tomorrow I can watch the game on my computer at home for free, saving me £40. I could go to the pub and watch and save £35 or more. Nowadays it's not that difficult to 3pm footy at the pub or on your computer, nowadays the feeds are a lot better. Clubs heavily rely on middle aged fans nowadays to fill stadiums, as these people get older and either are too old to go the game or can't afford to go the game they're going to have a problem. Realistically clubs need to start thinking about how they are going to keep fans and not alienate them. With the exception of clubs like Arsenal, Spurs, Chelsea, United, Liverpool, Us and Manchester City how many clubs regularly fill their away allocations? Very few. Sorry to repeat myself but I still feel that unless football is inclusive a lot of clubs are going to really struggle to fill their stadiums. Most championship clubs grounds are half empty, which wasn't the case about 6 years ago it's become quite worrying really.

That is what worries me. The prices for the lower leagues are equally bad. Not so long ago if you were skint you could get yer footie at a Third or Fourth Division game with the transistor stuck against the lughole and soak up the bad footie and terrace atmosphere.

Now their prices are joke too.
