ticket prices

so on the price of $37 for Lower Gwladys (as an example), ticket prices for the derby are over 13% higher than standard, then its 11% higher for the next tier, then just under 9% higher for the next. Blackburn and Stoke are never anywhere close to full houses so they should be reducing the prices for those games regardless of when in the season they are .

I don't see the tiered system as anything good. 3, 4, 5 quid increases on a good third of the home games is a serious dent in the wallet of a family, not mention we now appear to be changing both (if not 3) kits every season.

But at least it has got us talking about something other than the lack of transfers

It's "innovative" mate - you sell less season tickets so get non-season ticket matchday-goers to take up the shortfall.

Clever lad that Elstone. Went to business school and worked for Deloitte.

It's a good job we have him around to think up these innovations. Other CEOs might have given their energy over to increasing commercial revenue and took their eye off the ball.

Oh yeah, christ that IS smart. I should have known... Elstone is clearly smarter than your average bear.

Who needs commercial revenue anway?
