Ticket Prices & Sky

I would love a league wide inititive to lower prices for away fans. The way some clubs routinely rip off the (true) supporters of some sides is awful imo.

And not just the tickets either, the travel as well, especially for mid-week/late Sunday games when public transport can be a bit hit and miss.

Wont happen though.

On the thoughts of tickets prices what is peoples take on reducing all away tickets to £20?

I am personally against it as I pay full price so why should someone visiting get the privilege of watching the same game for half price?

I don't know what if anything the legalities of selling the f#same goods to different people is but presume it is similar to different areas of the ground paying different prices, albeit not so much of a reduction.

I am fully in support of clubs giving travelling supporters incentives and reductions in travel be it with their travel partners Thomas Cook but when away tickets for us are difficult to get they would be nigh on impossible at £20 a shot?

Maybe if aways not on sky we can have a big screen at GP to watch games, generate money through reduced tickets and hospitality for those who cannot get a match day ticket for whatever reason?

Just a thought like......

From some searching around the TV Deal that I said was worth £37 for every seat at every game, was for £1.7 billion so you can roughly times that by 3 now, obviously some different teams so a different amount of seats, but safe to say that it's probably worth in excess of £100 for every seat in every ground at every game.

I reckon if we get r/s in europa they'll want to do the screens, but then The Police will say it's the same as having 2 home games at the same time.

My god how times change!
When I was a kid I used to go in the Boys Pen in Gwladys Street, buy a programme and get a bag of chips and fishcake all for less than 60p

Football will eat itself eventually.....only way of stopping cycle is enforcing this fair play concept and cap ticket prices but only the premier league can do this......

Fully agree on cup games, for me ST holders should get them for a token gesture or sun £20 as a reward for loyalty..

Interestingly this year for first time EFC made corporate members pay for Home Europa League tickets......historically as with FA Cup and league cup corporate members get their tickets free up to and including QF.....but not this year......and lounges were this empty for Krasnador and 50% full for Lille....

Is this clever profiteering? Or taking advantage? I am split.....

Guess the YBB home attendance?

Ticket prices are a disgrace there is no reason they can't come Down by 40% with the new tv money

That said a club as poor as us and in need of rebuilding the squad, the tv deal is very good news
