thunderstorms - I'm scared

yikes, the sky has gone really black and I can hear thunder in the distance. I hate thunderstorms and the dogs hate them even more. Is it just me or does anyone else feel a bit nervy? Any minute now I expect a great clap of thunder to scare the bejeezus out of me......

it went from sunshine to pitch black here within about 4 mins!!!!!!!!!

no thunder or lighting though

i dont mind them tbh, nkids hate em though.
there was a whopper last year, a grid cover got hit and all thEhouses around it had burnt wiring etc, tellies blew the lot. it was the weirdest noise, like a crack right in your ear then the thunder rolling away as opposed to towards you which was weird

just been outside and it's very, very eerie. The trees are absolutly still, not a breath of wind. No thunder anymore though.
Chill and relax, chill and relax, chill and relax....say it often enough and I will.....

acouple of years ago there was one and i was i the garden trying to get the trampoline in the shed!

so was holding this trampoline ubove my head when abolt shot across just missed me and hit a tree on the hill near me (the racehill ask micknick he knows it) which is about 200/250 yards away totally shat myself!!

the tree was smoking for ages!

love nights like this! me and a mate where walking home when the lighting started, then drizzle started. then when it began chucking it we had to leg it! luckily we were only a couple mins walk from home!!

we had lightning with snow once. it was really weird cos it was dead still,night-time huge snowflakes falling and lightning .
