once again a thread is closed without explanation. don't think i will bother with this "forum" anymore. its just pathetic, people who seem more interested in grammar than true debate. it was bandied as a "more grown up" forum. really . its not. just people pretending to be adults, but just snobs or hypocrites. not all, just enough to ruin a good " adult" debate.

Everyone is free to leave this forum if they wish to do so. Guess the reason the takeover thread was closed is due to the constant off topicness and pisstaking that went around in there, with no real news posted whatsoever.

It was closed for damn good reason - one that clearly didn't need a reason. But seeing as though you want one, it was for being persistently off topic. We let it go to a degree, and we did - but when it gets silly we close it and reopen when there's something worthy to discuss in relation to the thread. As we have with that thread before.

I don't think people realise that you genuinely would have an easier life if this site didn't exist.
That thread had more roundabouts than Skem, and could/should have been closed about a month ago. Completely correct decision.

TBF it had been closed last time we all went off topic ( puts hands up and offers apology) and was reopened when something new appeared, it was time for it to close again and didn't need any explanation really. I imagine it will open again when there is some actual news or even decent rumour.
