Drente : Great pace (even though not 100% fit yet) , great skills , really think this is another Moyse master stroke (y)

Denis : not so much (n)

I didn't see the game but from what I've read Vellios has been much better than Stracq. Apparently he held the ball up more effectively for us and from watching the highlights I think he got the assist for Felli's equaliser.

Jury is out on Denis. Big adjustment coming from the Argie league - but surely Moyes would've known that?

Drenthe, perhaps predictably, is showing more quality immediately. Let's hope he keeps it up.

Oh FFS give the lad a chance hes been here a wet day and you dislike him already. Came from a totalling different style of league.

Most strikers who come into the prem take a while to get going. Only the best of the best set the league alight straight away.

Drente put it on a plate for Nevilles shot/cross , drew 2 defenders in n just layed it off.

Come on now lads, our new striker,Denis, has played, 75 minutes of football for the blues. Surely we can totally condemn him and write him off by now?

It's a pity we didn't pay big money for him. Then we could really stick the knife in.

It's amazing how we insist on hoofing it to the big man up front but don't put any crosses into the box for him to get on the end of?

His distribution from knock downs/flick ons was quite good but we're the worst team in the world with second balls, so it's a fruitless task.

Give him time, and more importantly...crosses.

Drenthe took a while to get into gear last night but he looks like he'll fit right in here, very happy with him.

I though Drenthe was crap at the start of the game tbh but he grew more and more into it as it went on.

Denis struggled but I think that was to be expected, once he gets used to the strength and pace of the premiere league he could become a useful target man. Saying that, he did link up with our 3 attacking mids a few times.

Royston seemed to give the ball away a lot yesterday from the commentary, he's clearly a player though. A goal and an assist in his first two games.

Denis - give the lad a chance. He looks up for the challenge, seemed to put himself about and get stuck in last night, I'm hopeful for him. But yeah, at the moment Vellios looks a better prospect.

Yeah, I think our new lads are not bad. Some footballers get better and better, so fans shouldn't be upset that we haven't bought a finished article goal machine, as it doesn't work like that, well not these days at Everton at least. :)

Drenthe was poor until Moyes switched him to the right

I thought Denis looked ok his touch let him down a bit, seemed to be getting fouled quite alot not sure if he was just going down to easily though
