Everton are watching 30-year-old striker Thorstein Helstad, who plays for Norwegian side Brann. (Telegraph)

With the strikers at the club at the moment, i'd be surprised.

I thought we had been linked with him in the past so just done a quick search and appears we have.

In January Premiership side Everton also expressed interest in Helstad but the marksman has not heard from the Toffees since.
"Since the offer from Everton I haven't received any real offers. I am not planning on moving abroad any time soon, I am very happy with Brann for the moment", Helstad added.

Maybe there will be more intrest if he does a good match against you, you'll get a good oppertunity to measure the quality level he's at.

Not saying he is not a good striker but at his age and us having 5 striker in the first team, he really have to be something special for us to be interested in signing him!
