Agreed. Seen his stand up twice and you can't doubt his comedy talent. He's just been misguided in his life.

Most of the big name comedians in this country are one trick ponies, and aren't that funny imo. All of 'em from Michael McIntyre to Frankie Boyle.

But I find Brand quite funny. I don't think he's "faux intellectual", I think he really is an intellectual. A bit zany and eccentric, but a smart guy nonetheless.

And I think he's a decent actor too. Forgetting Sarah Marshall was good, but he was excellent in Get Him to the Greek.

This. I've only seen him once though on a dvd of my sister last time I was over. I know how over exposure on tv can make you hate someone you once liked. Get the feeling that H never liked him to start with though
