This Seasons Premier League...

The standard this year is hopeless.

Liverpool winning it tells you all you need to know. Not far behind that is the fact an Arsenal team that fell apart at Christmas has been allowed to claim their usual 4th spot from a position where they lost key players.

Personally I think the sad fact is there is now a two tier league within a league.

And I am just thankful that we seem to have managed to scramble aboard a raft which at one stage looked like it was only going to hold six teams.

But there is now a very wide gulf opening up between the current top seven and the rest.

Where the RS have been spectacularly successful is in putting those other thirteen teams to the sword on the most occasions.

Just think....the last time we finished fourth we did so with five points fewer than we currently have....and we still have four games to go.

I think the bar has been raised....not lowered.

Yea if it wasn't for sugar daddies we are at worst challenging Arsenal for 2nd. Chelsea was bad enough but now City came in and made it twice as hard. At least in Spain and Germany there are only 1-2 big dogs and the others can at least get into the champions league.

I think the English clubs have done reasonably well in Europe this year. City had some good results before shitting themselves against Barca. Arsenal and United weren't bad against the European Champions either. And of course Chelsea are in with a good chance of a final.

I think both City and Chelsea have accumulated more points this year than last. A lot of absolute [Poor language removed] in the league though. When you consider then amount of money sloshing around too it is surprising. Norwich spending nearly 30 million quid for example.

The standard has been far higher this season than last year which was one of the worst ever. Van Persie pretty much won United the league on his own. They had no competition. Fergies easiest title win.
