...what's going on here? Clear as mud, atm. The number of Britons involved going up and down with each news report. And why, after the siege ended about 20 hours ago, dont we know who (or how many) the casualties are?

I understand they may need time to identify people and contact relatives etc, but it seems very weird in this day and age when news comes through so quickly.

Hopefully it's not the massacre being touted. :o

It sounds now like there's a lot less casualties than first predicted. The delay in news from the site is probably down to the British Government getting their story straight as to why they predicted a greater incident.

As a rider to this story it should be noted Cameron cancelled a speech in Amsterdam on EU reform. The implication is that fat chops used the siege to duck that meeting.

country is on it backside.

Yeah man, Cameron orchastrated the seige to get out of the meeting, and also to screw over the city of Liverpool somehow aswell.

Appallingly handled it seems. No idea why people choose to go and work in places like this though.
Loads of £££££ is probably the reason they work there. They should know the risks involved before they go.Its not really suprising that these things happen in unstable countries with the huge amounts of cash at stake to whoever controlls the oil supplies.
