Wonder how they'd have done with Falcao in their side too. He's clearly had an outstanding tournament. Has he flown under the radar a bit coming into the competition? He wasn't really one of those spoken of at the outset. I wonder if teams will begin to give him extra special attention from now on.

I was talking about that the other day with a friend. We reached the conclusion that they might not have done as well (pure speculation).

In the same way that Alexis Sanchez and Neymar had probably their best spells at Barça when Messi was out injured and certainly look better players in their national teams. It may be that Rodriguez, Cuadrado and company might be more inhibited with their star* player in the side.

On the other hand they maight have rifled in 25 goals and be completely unstoppable.

*Entering the world cup, Falcao was undoubtedly their star player. Won't be for long if this kid carries on.
