uses us as an example of an organisation who may benefit from third party player ownership being allowed.

Would it be a good or bad thing?

My personal opinion, is that could only be bad for the game. It would place yet more power in to the hands of the players, and undoubtedly you would see more Tevez-esque situations occurring. Players would only use clubs like us as a springboard to Champions League clubs, and we'd be powerless to stop them doing it - it would make it very hard to build a team, and would ultimately drain us of our assets, as we wouldn't be making money from transfers when players do move on.

Despite the media reported extremely prudent financial management of Bill Kenwright and assorted silent investors, it strikes me that our club finds itself somewhat financially ****ed. As a dead in the water basketcase club, this would be another vehicle by which rich businessmen would toy with us for their own ends, much like Robert Earl and Philip Green may be doing now.

What are your views on non disclosed third party ownership/control of a football club btw....good or bad thing ?

Is it a bad thing even if endorsed by a super supporter figurehead at that club, one whose grid appearing on screen can generate spontaneous applause ?

to be honest - most top flight clubs aren't owned by a single person any more, and if we're all totally honest, if Earl or Woods were giving Moyes money for transfers we wouldnt really care who they were.
