We could have won the Norwich, West Brom, Cardiff, Spurs, Palace and Liverpool matches. That would put us 12 points higher putting us at 40 points and making us top of the table

Stupid draws.....

Now, think about this, if Spurs and Palace put away chances and rat face scored from his chance in stoppage time...That would put us 3 points lower.

Also, what if we never twice came back from behind against West Ham?

In all seriousness, the draws at the start was better than losing considering we were a team in a management transition.

Most teams can say if their chances went in and oppositions didnt....then they would have more points. Only Sunderland can say opposition have created more than them in every game

Yes, but we dropped a lot of points due to bad luck and last minute concessions last year too. Newcastle at home was especially galling. We had our moments of luck against Chelsea, or with United hitting the bar twice. It happens to every team every year, to varying degrees.

And today with last min hitting the bar(y)

I think it's more realistic to think that Martinez has fundamentally changed how we're playing, and after a dozen games we're mixing it with the best in the league toe to toe. There were bound to be some games where it didn't quite click in the early weeks of the season.

I think we're hugely exceeding expectations here. I expected us to be good, but not this good this quickly.

Apparently, there's no such a thing as transition...
