Definitely. I'm no longer a match goer, but as a kid, being told we'd be going the game was amazing, and getting ready on the Saturday morning and heading down the East Lancs listening to Radio Merseyside, just the best feeling ever.

I'm playing in a charity fundraiser this afternoon... can't wait. We've got together our old Sunday league side who were North Wales Cup Winners about 20 years ago and are playing the local under 21 side to raise money for the family of the ex landlord of the pub we used to drink in, the landlord was sadly murdered just before xmas.

My favourite thing is hearing kids go "bagsy Ross Barkley" then trying to take 10 of their mates on In a kick about in the street.

Opium for the masses is the truest thing.
