Things you haven't done because of Everton

always easier to pass the blame off tbh.

I spend money on Everton, just renewed ST. Go to a few aways too. But if an opportunity arose for me to work/live in another part of the world I would take it because spending my life in a fraction of the world (Liverpool) would seem like a waste. That's just me. If I had the choice of a fully paid for 300k house with a nice car and a wife or watch Everton whilst renting somewhere and driving a clapped out motor then I have to pick the first one. It's not money motivated, it's doing what I believe is best and I'm sure once I've worked my way to a decent income then going the game shouldn't be a struggle so in a way it would go full Circle

Supporting Liverpool probably.

My old man took me to Goodison before my Uncle took me to Anfield. As a 6 year old lad in 1971, both were awesome, but the Anfield trip didnt feel right. But I had something to compare it with.

Similar here. My dad was a blue but went to watch the others occasionaly too. Took me to watch both and told me go make my own mind up. Needless to say there was no choice, even then our crowd was a different class even if the footy at the time wasn't as good.

It'd be easier to answer for me if the question was 'What HAVE you done because of Everton'?

There are many, many things I've done in my life which have been influenced one way or another by Everton, but one that springs
to mind is the time I drove my wife to hospital when she went into labour and Everton were playing Aston Villa in a couple of hours.

I was at her bedside, she was moaning and groaning, but nothing was happening. It must have been into the second half and I thought
I'd go home - I was only ten minutes away - to get the score on the radio. I mentioned it to a nurse but she went all bossy and told me to forget it.

I meekly caved in and waited while my boy was born. Er, we drew 1-1 at home, which was disappointing.

Agree - but had the first part ( apart from fully paid for! - Massive mortgage -) Very messy divorce and being left in the lurch put paid to that. However much the blues frustrate and annoy me the routine of going the match and all things everton have actually helped me forget some dire times.

Though do regret not doing 5-10 years in Dubai would have set me up good style. Suppose an ageing mother at the time had an influence too - didn't want to leave her and be across the other side of the world- so maybe it was a combination of that and Everton that one!!!
