Things you don't understand

I don’t understand why Stewart Lee’s just pulled his kecks down and silently pretended to tap a phone for over a minute while on stage.

The ironic thing with Stewart Lee is that he tells funny jokes, but insists on prefacing them with background, and then lauding the joke, and then deconstructing the joke until you decide it's not funny anymore. I know that's his schtick, but he could have been Armando Ianucci. He could have done some massive shows rather than the formulaic tripe that is on the telly, but oh no, that's beneath his intellectual level.

I bought a packet of potatoes from Asda last week and checked the sell by date, 3 weeks away - great I thought!

A funny smell coming from the cupboard in the kitchen was stinking the place out, I thought wtf is that.

I picked up the packet of potatoes and a horrible green juice spilt all out the bag and covered me and the floor in this horrific stench.

How can potatoes go do dodgey after a week, and why do they create a smell like that!

Take them out of the bag and let them roam free. Otherwise, a bit like Kenwright, they'll sweat and go rotten. Store them in a cool, dry, dark place.

They're treated with chemicals so that they can put a use by date on. Otherwise fresh fruit and veg doesn't need a use by date if loose, packaged it does, though I think the law around this is being changed so that basically if the food is off it's past its best date and you the punter should know ;)

This really. Never leave any fresh veg in it's packaging. Remove it as soon as you get home from the shop and keep it loose in a box or basket.
