Mexican food
BBQ
Burgers
Pale Ales/IPAs

First day back after one of our trips I'll drink a bunch of hopped-up pale ales or IPA's, and scarf down a big bacon cheeseburger or some BBQ, with a breakfast burrito the next morning. It's like the food and beverage equivalent of diving into icy cold water.... shocks the system back to my internal 'Murica setting.

Mexican food tastes better in Mexico though right?

Shout!

I think British bacon is the best there is.

Nope. I used to think that, until I went back to Britain recently. The bacon is pumped full of water and too thin. Australian bacon on the other hand is pure pig and perfect thickness. And cooked on an old barbecue on a sunny Sunday morning, there is no way you could back to British bacon

There is wonderful bacon all over the world, but there is a lot more fatty crap packaged as bacon. In my country, this is what all other bacon aspires to be. It's never as good as when you pick it up yourself from Allan's smokehouse in Tennessee. I fill a cooler with it every time I go past, and my friends love me when I get home, cause I pass the wealth. If you ever see Benton's bacon on the menu, get yourself some.

BBQ
Maker's Mark
Fried Chicken
Hot Dogs (ordered one in Montego Bay - holy crap was that thing awful - spongy pink pudding like, worse than a Vienna sausage but I had a buzz / hangover that screamed for some cured meats)
