Theres a button to go straight to the last post you've read in a thread. Only found it yesterday and makes it well easier to keep up.

also one to go to the last post as well, unless it's some members (me included) in which case the button is obscured by a long username


I only use 'New Posts' and the 'goto 1st unread' buttons on each thread tbh
