Things dying from the modern game

On a serious note
Pensioners going the match
Cos it's too expensive!!!!!

Same with young blokes as well.

There is a demographic time bomb ticking under the EPL.

I think the average age of spectators is in the mid 40s.

I recall a time when even during periods of unemployment the only thing one had to worry about was a few bob for transport and a few beers before the game.

The last thing you had to think about was the price of admission......it was very cheap before the Premier League came into being.

But if they price young men out of the matchgoing habit, which they are, they are going to have a problem replacing the older fan as he withers away and dies.

Or joins me and the rest of the walking dead in the Bullens :(

Not as much as before though. Wasn't too long ago that any team who thought they were stealing a win would run the clock down. For all the games I watched over the last year or so, haven't come across it that much
Requires a certain set of events though. Otherwise you'd see it every game that's got one side winning with 5 mins to go.

Not dying because it's been dead for years but fans helping to clear the pitch of snow and the teams playing with an orange ball.

Me being able to afford to go the match regularly. Even when I was skint it was a reasonable amount to borrow.

The old corpy buses being used as "Football Specials" ... dropping off at the end of Priory Road by all the coaches from N Wales parked up there. Used to love getting them with my schoolmate Blues - meeting up where they started off by Old Swan Tech....and even better when the hungover conductor couldn't be arsed coming upstairs wading through the ciggie smoke to collect the fares !
