Played his last professional game last night by the looks of things.

What a talent, certainly one of the best forwards of all time and apart from Ronaldo the best forward to ever play in the Premier League.

Aye, apart from Bergkamp and Zola I tend to agree.

His Arsenal side though, they played the most entertaining style of football I've seen in this league.

I think he is the best player to grace the premier league and one of the best players to ever play in England, that includes Ronaldo. This fella brought a completely different style of football with him when he signed for Arsenal. Wenger tranforming him from a winger to a striker/forward was a masterstroke. Unplayable for most of his time here.

An absolute class act.

I love him. He was the best player that's ever played in our league without a doubt. Genuinely frightening how good he was at times, and he was consistently brilliant for about 7 seasons as well. Not like certain other players who are world class for 18 months

It's been known for a while he's not coming back to NY next season so assumption is he's retiring. He has not announced he is as far as I know.
There had been rumors he might come back to Arsenal briefly so he could retire a Gunner
