Every game I have seen has been enjoyable, so much better that the last world cup.

It's a shame the format is been altered to have 24 teams next time.

Anyway, I think this might be the best tournament I have seen ( so far ) what tournaments from the past have been your favourites??

96 was the best, just for Gascoigne making Hendry look like a tit and the glory of that 4-1 against Holland, with Kluivert's rocket sending the scots home just providing the cherry on top of a great day.

And Zidane, Hagi, Laudrup, Stoichkov, Suker, Kanchelskis, Sammer. The Czechs being boss. Actually getting to see a game, in the flesh (it was.Italy-Russia, I think).

Hagi was superb, loved the 94 world cup.

as it was the first world cup i properly whitnessed, i loved France 98, shame about the final though (the teacher drew brazil out for me in the school sweepstakes when i was ill). that bergkamp goal verses argentina will never be forgotten as well. i also really enjoyed 2002 world cup with south korea doing the unthinkable.

this euro's has started off very well, hope the knockouts are great as well, sadly a couple of great teams to watch in russia and the netherlands are out already

The 90 world cup in Italy was the best, even the opening titles to the bbc coverage, was pavarotti singing nessum dorma to the backdrop of the beautiful Italian architecture and breathtaking football was all achingly beautiful. Then it has to be the 70 world cup for the samba football and seeing it all on colour tv was amazing.

'94 World Cup. Hagi, Valderrama, As an added bonus, I learned all the naughty Italian words I needed from my Aunt Rocca's cousins when Baggio's penalty went over the bar. A gift which keeps on giving.

Ace tournament. The moody yellow score graphics, the sweltering heat in a far off land and the muffled commentary.

Maradona was amazing at that tournament.
