Alright lids.

Got my theory test in town tonight, just wondering if you had any tips? Just been smashing the DVD questions, anything else I'll need to be weary of?
Cheers

Don't go mad with the hazard perception test and click everything. They'll give you zero for it!

Just go through the Highway Code with a fine toothed comb and you should be fine mate.

I was seriously surprised how easy the Theory Test was.

If you've done loads of prep you'll be fine mate.

As BLF says don't go stupid on the HP test.

Good luck mate.

If you don't know the answer, just sit back and think about it, use common sense. Good luck buddy (y)

Whatever seems like the most sensible, logical and common sense answer, go for that if you are unsure on a question

It's much much easier than I expected it to be, don't be fooled by the kids playing in the road on the hazard perception bit, just plough right through them, the examiner wants to see you have initiative and that'll show him that you're no mug.

Theory is easy. However the practical has some "vehicle safety questions" at the start -- I'd suggest reading up on those. I got one wrong on my test about how to check if your brake lights are working before driving (you know ... as you do ALL the time!). Turns out I should put the ax I have in the car (ax FFS??!?!?) on the brake pedal and get out and check. Also go ahead and assume the instructor will be the most tiresome pedantic "strict school teacher" bore you've ever met.

"Turn the vehicle to face the opposite way, using forward and reverse gears"
"Oh you mean like a three point turn?"
"Turn the vehicle to face the opposite way, using forward and reverse gears"
"Um ... so a three point turn right?"
"Turn the vehicle to face the opposite way, using forward and reverse gears"
"Are you not allowed to use the phrase "three point turn?" during the test?"
"Turn the vehicle to face the opposite way, using forward and reverse gears"
::does three point turn:: "So was that what you wanted?"
"Proceed forward to the next intersection"
"Mate all this friendly banter is distracting me from my driving can we keep it strictly professional please?"
