I'm just waiting for Labour to come out with its Debt reduction plan which involves no job losses. and continued growth.

I realise the tories are bad, but Labour, I want to see the meat on the bone before I even begin to think about trusting them again.

Not interested in sound bites, only in real solutions.

Oh i dont think there is a real solid plan for the deficit, now that being said the rate this current shower are going at could well lead us back into a nasty recession if not depression have they a plan B? no i dont think they have they barely have a plan A at the moment already they seem to be back peddling over child benefit

Cuts have to happen sadly but the last tory chancellor's Ken Clarke and Norman Lamont had the reduction plan just about right at 50/50 tax rises and cuts to me that would have been a credible way of getting hold of the deficit in a sane way unlike Osbournes all or nothing approach and it is just that becuase if it goes wrong then it really is batten down the hatch time.

Labour have to bring out a paper showing thier plans i suppose its who gets the shadow chancellors job who it comes out,but Darling painted them into a corner over his plans 44 bill worth of cuts something he forgot to set out for us to peruse over, still given he stopped us going into a depression a couple of years ago (and he and Brown did just that history will back me up on that one i think) he can be forgiven, plus anyone going through life being called Darling also has my admiration.

You make some good points, but even Darlings proposals were just that. Proposals. No details, nothing. In order to build credibility, Labour will have to do more than, "I wouldn't do it that way", they have to show, in detail what they would do. And yes, the tories don't have a plan B, but in the context of Labour v tories, they don't need one. They do in terms of the Country and already they are getting itchy feet, and they haven't even set out plan A yet.

I personally believe that Labour dodged a bullet by losing the election. They can make out they are the peoples friend, and refresh themselves as a party, after the Brown / Blair era.
