formerly manx toffee

Player Valuation: £70m
just had an email chat with the manager of supergroup The Wurzels about whether they would do a gig on the Isle of Man. He quoted me 6k plus VAT plus 4 twin beds accommodation, flights and a ferry for the van. Reckon that lot comes to about 9k...

Blimey feels steep.

I was chatting to Kenny Appletwist (The Grumbleweeds manager) in Wetherspoons earlier

he mentioned the chaps are still looking for work, might be a cheaper option for ya

I once played Rivers of Babylon with Boney M who were in a Rowing Boat in Peel harbour I think it was.

I also met King Olav 5th of Norway, twice the 2nd time he presented me with a Millenium of Tynwald medal and said "ah, we met the other day."

We also met the lead singer of darts in a Shop in Douglas.

They come over quite a bit. My missus is from Somerset so it was all around that and a big birthday really (combined with a few other birthdays of our mates).

right ok then, so, yes.

you see, what's happened here is, I've just posted some random bullsh!t and have realised I'm in way over my depth.

I'm sorry.

hope your missus has a lovely day though x

I told the King story to the lads in Bergen who got me my ticket and they were amazed, I suppose meeting a real life King and being recognised by him should be a bit of a highlite really, but tbh it didn't really mean that much to me at the time.

Now if it had been Andy King that would've been a different matter.

Grumbleweeds > Wurzels.

BTW they're havin a laugh asking for so much money, they ain't that in demand surely.

They're very much in demand in the South West, they're an incredibly hardworking band, especially when you consider the drummer is like, 80 odd. My mate had them play at his wedding last year and it cost £3k and that was local to them.

they're basically the Rolling Stones of the South West

Then you would probably have to add on the cost of Straw Bales , Cider and parking space for their Harvesters.

Have you a young farmers club that could deputise?
