The wonderful pubs of Liverpool

Has anyone ever been to Peter Kavanagh's on Egerton street, just off Catherine street? Its quite near the Anglican Cathedral if you don't know where I'm on about. The first time I went my mate took me and I've never seen a pub like it, It's dead friendly and just has a nice atmosphere, and often has jazz/blues live music which always gets my vote!

Oh yeh, and Kudos to whoever mentioned the Ship and Mitre. I've only been there a few times as well but the food is brilliant and the selection of ales and ciders are great.

Last time I was in the ship and mitre, I got bollocked by the chef for not eating my greens.

Proper pub that.

If you can't pull in The Cabin or the Blue Angel then just give up, really, you're going to die alone surrounded by cats.

Got to love the Blue Angel, on a Monday student night it's something daft like 70p a pint (Of what I don't know, and I don't really care) So you can get annihilated for less than a tenner! You do have to wipe your feet on the way out though, sticky sticky floor and it's a bit of a sweat pit too.

And your right about the pulling part too, 1st time I went I was offered a shag.

If you've ever been then you'd agree with the above, some really ace pubs and bars in the city.

What's your favourite though?

Loads for me, but narrowing it down its The Ship & Mitre, Hole in the Wall and The Philharmonic.

The post office, school lane at the back of bluecoat chambers, like the ship & mitre and the Philharmonic though mate.
