Was in Czech last Friday in the hills walking the dog and the place was heaving with cross country skiers. Whole families out scooting about. Was nice to see. I think this weekend is the Jizerska 50km race in that region, which is a pretty big deal - https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jizerská_padesátka

You have to be super fit to do that I'm told.
