I'd never work for that paper, it's a stain on my city.

There's being lenient towards something and there's blatantly cuddling up for freebies. The whole hypothesis of a journalist is to investigate current affairs, not smile, nod your head and say "yes Roberto, thanks Roberto" after he's turned up 15 minutes late grabbing his caramel cappuccino.

Well, it seems to me that they just used a facility on this CIES website (never heard of them myself) to value a player anonymously based upon league, appearances, goals etc. that's sort of interesting, isn't it?

Presumably it is based upon the real statistics from the premiership, so it looks like it stands a decent chance of being roughly correct until you take account of hype around certain players etc.
