Welcome back Wayne
Now anyone who knows me knows that I've always believed that our relationship was a force for good. They will also know that I believe that we behaved badly with a cowardly vote in the commons last night.

But that John Kerry can just fck off if he thinks he can treat us like sh!t and dismiss us for not doing what he wants. My message to you my friend is that I hope you enjoy being shafted by your new mates....... And you can [Poor language removed] when you really need help.......cnut...........

Apologies to our American friends on here.......

America, Feck Yeah! Coming again to save the mother fecking day yeah. America, Feck Yeah! Freedom is the only way yeah.

Seriously Pete, a 'force for good' mate?
The 'good of capitalism' would maybe get agreement :)

The US Navy, a couple of years ago changed it's slogan:

From:

"Navy: Accelerate your life"

To:

"America's Navy, a Global Force for Good"

Bit of a strange thing to say, I would say that it took a lot of guts and thought for those who voted against a military intervention - rather than going with what Cameron was planning.

I like the Americans, but it's not as if they've never let us down before...

Wars of which America refused to get involved.

  • Suez Canal Crisis. (1950's)
  • The Troubles. (a lot of people saying that the US funded IRA terrorism)
  • The Faulklands.
  • Sierra Leone.

The Troubles, Jesus, was that all we were to you over nearly eight hundred years of oppression..

And just to be clear, i,ve never supported any form of terrorism.

Get a grip FFS!!!

Hahaha, is that on the napkins in the onboard Maccy D's? ;)

I left the Royal Navy when I was old enough to realise that ultimately, it would be Parliament who decided what a 'good war' was, you must have a lot more faith in your government to decide where and why you potentially sacrifice your life mate.

C'mon Pete, he's just telling it like it is. Britain cant be America's oily rag again until it mends its ways. However, the special relationship goes on in other less dramatic ways: the sharing of information about British and American private citizens and their everyday lives, for example. The two nations' *security* apparatus can continue a long and fruitful union on matters like that. It's not all bleak.
