Has anyone travelled to Hungary recently or is from there?

I’m planning on travelling to Budapest for Christmas but the travel advice is hard to follow and different websites say different things.

I’m double vaccinated in the UK, and would be flying there (I see that other forms of travel seemingly have no restrictions so I thought it was worth mentioning).

Is a PCR test required on entry? Some websites seem to say yes, or no, or maybe. As the cost of these is £100 each, if I can avoid it that would be ideal!

Alternatively, if anyone has any suggestions of other cities which should be visited at Christmas, that would be helpful! Looking for a walkable city, Christmas markets and plenty to do for 3 nights.
I travel through Schipol every 2 weeks . You only need a rapid antigen test which you can do at Manchester Airport through Collinson , costs £40 . Maybe Amsterdam would be a good shout for you ?

Has anybody gone through non-UK passport control at Manchester Airport recently? I’ve got to book a COVID test and am trying to get a feel for how long after my arrival I should book for. The only other time I flew into that airport it was extremely quick, but suspect with the additional pandemic restrictions and checks that I should expect it to be quite a bit longer this time.
