The traditional top six

Have any team kept to the same level as they were in 2008? For me an argument could be made for Spurs but the rest have seriously deteriorated. The only reason why Arsenal are up contending for the league is because they've probably deteriorated less than the others. Even City of 2014 wouldn't get close to the top three in 2008, much less nowadays.

Just depressing.

Why is it depressing?

I HATE the way the PL is a money club league with no real hope of a club outside the "top 6" of breaking through the ceiling and staying there although the new TV deal does seem to be allowing less fashionable clubs to attract better players.
Bring back Division One

France ... one team will walk the league
Germany .. one team will walk it
Italy ... Two teams will contest it
Spain .. Two or at best three teams will contest it
England ... Three to Five teams will contest it and there will be some very strange results along the way

If the premier league was all it was cut out to be then the top 4 would have dominated the Champions league. What is it 4 wins in the last 20 years. Those on the continent don't fear the top 4 that is why they can consistently beat them and knock them out of the CL.

it's what the appeal is really - anyone can beat anyone because the 20 teams are more closer than any other top league. I mean zidane has managed two games for madrid, one was 5-0 and the other was 5-0 at HT. who wants to watch that nearly every week? They scored 10 a few weeks back as well. Granted, they'd thrash a few of these prem teams, but they wouldn't do it every week - no team does that over here - just a few sporadic thrashings. I just think the quality worldwide is poor - all the best players are at real, barca and bayern with a couple spread over other teams like atletico, juve and PSG. It's a sort state of affairs imo, players get too much money too young and their desire is understandably much lower.

I hope Leicester win it and do not find the sight of Chelsea, man U, Man C etc. struggling in relative terms to be remotely depressing.....its lovely in fact.

It is lacking in skill and ability compared to the 00's. We're paying top dollar for nowt

The quality of our league right now is extremely poor given the money that's been spent. Teams on the continent are far superior and that's reflect in the Champions and Europa League.

There's 'strange' results in Europe all of the time as well. We just have it shoved down our throats that the Premier League is so unpredictable that it must be true.
