The team is shattered!

I know everyone is annoyed and that performance was embarrassing but the main reason we lost today was that the same players have been playing with high intensity twice a week for the last month.

What Liverpool lacked in experience today they made up for in energy and by the 2nd half we were finished. Klopp probably saw it coming.

It doesn't help when we hit all of our chances against the keeper either though.

It's disappointing but we will be better when the players are better rested.

Sorry but this doesn't wash.

First you hear how they love to play football, it's their life etc, and want to as much as often.

Then when they lose you hear how tired they are.

Many people have to get up at 5:30am, 5-6 days a week only getting home at 6, 7, 8 or even later doing a job they hate and are expected to keep their performance levels up without a drop and are paid way, way less for their efforts.

Perhaps consult them and then we'll talk about tiredness.

They also have not been playing at high intensity for the last month. They disappeared v Leicester for most of the match, were woeful against Arsenal and also disappeared until the last 20 minutes against Man City.

You just mentioned occasions when they team didn't show intensity without considering that they didn't show intensity because they were knackered. It's been obvious for weeks. Today has been coming.

Most people's jobs aren't comparible to professional footballers.

Shattered my ass. Put them on a building site or collecting bins 10 hours a day, 5 days a week and they might just work as hard as most normal people do for their entire lives. The majority of this squad have done this to 5 managers now and almost all of them need fecking right off.

Stick with this boss manager and give him all of the time he needs to get rid and replace with proper footballers who actually possess quality and desire and want to actually play for the club.

There is a losers mentality that runs right through this club and it needs stamping out and hopefully Carlo is the man for the job.

26 games in all competitions they've played

84/85 side had played 33 games in the same time frame and used about 13 players tops.

Not shattered just useless.

Who said they were knackered?

You did. That's your opinion. I respect it but don't agree.

Difference of opinion.

You're right about jobs not being comparible, most people work harder and for less.

Now they are out of the cup they will probably have to put up with what most premier League teams do who go out early. That is go warm weather training in Dubai instead of having to go to some lower league cabbage patch of a pitch for an early kick off in the 4th round. Every silver lining eh lads.
