Player Valuation: £40m
  • We're the only team in the top 7 to have played more away games (5) than home games (3).
  • We are the top-scoring away side in the division with 9 goals.
  • We are the lowest-scoring home side in the top 10 with 6 goals.
  • In the top 12 only us, Chelsea and City are still unbeaten at home.
  • Chelsea's average home score is 2.75 v 0.75. Ours is 2 v 1. Chelsea's average away score is 2 v 0.75. Ours is 1.8 v 1.2.
  • Surprisingly our goal difference is twice that of Spurs, West Brom and West Ham and 8 better than Liverpool. We're 2 goals behind City and 4 behind United.

The past few results have somewhat detracted from the fact that it's October and we're fourth!

I just wanted a win going into the derby, 'cause I can't help but be eternally pessimistic about it.

The table looks good at the moment, but I can't help but feel seriously disappointed with us only picking up two points from our last 2 away games. I imagine we will lose the derby, and then the RS will only be three points behind us.

Our recent performances have been crap.

we have played 4 of the bottom 5.

Honestly with Gibson being out all month, and then Fellaini missing this past game, to still be in fourth is a pretty solid accomplishment. That also includes the officials stealing the Newcastle and Wigan games from us. Hopefully, the injury situation improves quickly. Our style of play has dropped off mainly out of necessity. I'm just happy we're treading water and not losing games with our depleted roster.

I think the reason that we normally start badly is because our defence doesn't get it's act together until around November and we usually struggle to score. This time round we're scoring more so it's masking the fact that we're defending poorly. Hopefully we'll get our act together at the back and continue in a lofty position.

we have played 4 of the bottom 5.

We've beaten 2nd, 10th, 17th and 18th, drawn with 11th, 16th and 20th and lost to 6th.

We should have beaten 11th and 16th had an offside goal given.

As they say we can only beat what's in front of us. We normally struggle against the lesser lights and raise our game for the bigger teams anyway.

This.

Why do we play down to our opponents level? Those are the games to get points!

I want to crush them, like a worm!
