The Sopranos vs Gomorrah

Expecting Sopranos to win this with ease as most people won't have heard of or watched Gomorrah but after watching first two seasons of it I've got to say that imo its without doubt the best gangster tv series ever made and for me is better than any Mafia film ever made (quite the claim I know). Part of the reason for this is the sheer depth of it, the story is great, the characters brilliant... no film is ever going to be able to offer what it does due to the limited length.

I loved The Sopranos but it was kinda hammy at times and had a pretty generic hollywoodish idea of what gangster life is like. Gomorrah though is like The Wire... you just believe everything you're seeing, it's so gritty and real.

gomorra's main theme which plays throughout the show is outstanding as well (all be it completely different), every time you hear it in the show you know something deep is about to happen.

Was looking for a new series to watch.. gomorrah it is.

I'm going to start watching Gomorrah if I can find it on Kodi, Romanzo Criminale is meant to be good aswell.

Gomorrah is good but I much preferred The Sopranos myself. Gomorrah is a bit more gritty and serious whilst The Sopranos has a tremendous amount of black comedy moments which I really like.

Sopranos = a comedic caricature of the American ethnic group of Italian males + two attractive females.

Gomorrah = A crime / gangster movie

Gommora seems to be alot darker than sopranos.
