I'll lay this out there. You can't trust anyone who doesn't love the Smiths. Sure you can be civil to them and chat with them at the pub, but you can't trust them.

Can't stand them. Don't care how ironically witty his lyrics are meant to be, I just utter despise their songs, Morrissey's irritating singing style where he has to warble at the end of each line, and frankly, most of their output sounds exactly the same.

But hey, if you like them, knock herself out. Don't see the point in telling someone that a band is crap. Just cos I don't like them, doesn't mean they're not plenty of people's favourite band.

i hated the Smiths back in the day with the movement that went along with it the geeky nerdy type that was devoted to them but many years later after my musical snobbery subsided i can appreciate just how good they were
so its a yay from me
