Everyone can be a philanthropist. They don't have to donate money. They can donate know how. Donate time. Donate anything really.
The philanthropist culture doesn't think "I want" or "I deserve" it just gives what it can.
But Davek. You - and your ideology cannot force people to give (like Labour have throughout the years). You encourage it through example.

I agree. Though that is always the case with every city. I have always found Liverpool and its people to be amongst the most friendly in the UK. Far from the thugs and scallys the media portrays them to be.
pretty depressing viewing that, but if ever there were two people who deseved a bit of luck it was that girl working in the youth club and the woman taking those kids on holiday, theres people like that all over the place never getting a bit of thought off anyone but doing there best for others, the likes of them should get the obe and stuff

The C.E.L.L.S project is part of the company I've just left. Phil Preston and the Girl Sarah i have worked with for the past 14 months. Phil is a good lad and really wants to make a difference.
Plus he would have taken any money given to him as he's absolutely skint.

hard to know what to think, with this type of program they follow a formula and its edited a certian way, i think that phil fella needs all the help he can get, even if he stops one kid getting in with the wrong crowd its worth his while, rather than the kids hearing about the local face and seeing the flash cars ect that go with the gangster scene, at least he is trying to show the other side of it good luck to him
