Sorry Muggins didn't see your comment there, burns linked it. Brilliant goal.

And Woolly I hope you're right mate, ASAP!

Yeah no worries pal. Was a great goal. Just scared we'll never see that quality again any time soon...

Drenthe, Gueye, Vellios, Barkley, Rodwell, Baxter, McAleny, Rodwell and Fellaini.
Fair enough, not all the youngsters will make it in the Premiership, but in a year or two.

Moyes is currently playing ( what he thinks ) is his strongest team to try and get as many points as possible so :-

a ) Relegation isn't a worry and
b ) Cos points make places which means money, and we need the turnover.

I remember Moyes when he was in charge at PNE. He wasn't scared of playing kids then, but the money in the Premiership is so different that the goalposts are on a different playing field and he's being overly conservative. But, sooner or later, his hand will be forced and he'll have to blood some of the youngsters.

Keep the faith lads.

I don't think the problem is who he plays at the moment. He could play Ronaldo and Messi because his tactics are so stale at the moment nothing seems to happen. There is so little movement off the ball that we end up throwing crosses into a box where, if we're lucky, our lone striker might show up, get pushed off the ball and we drop back to our own third of the pitch immediately.

Watch how everyone participating in that goal actually move without the ball. Even though we're only attacking with 3-4 people they're dominating that defense. And that's from Cahill, Baines, Pienaar and Osman, people I don't think we're applying the term 'quick' to generally. They just need to get movement back into their game, we can't continue being this static.

I have the same critiscism for the hoofball we play with Jags. If you've ever played football at the back, coming under pressure and no one's moving ahead of you, you'd have to be pretty relaxed/stupid to pass a short pass to some midfielder who's under pressure and with his back to the field and doesn't have anyone to pass to. You're just shifting responsibility, and being a ****ty teammate.

Some good points there mate.

I said this at the Stoke game, static players, who don't seemed arsed. I do think this stems from instructions from the manager though. I shout "movement lads" and "go go go" (when we're so slow on the break), more than anything else. Poor.

The frustrating bit is that obviously both Moyes and the squad has it in their locker. The only one who left from that russian bit of hockey play was Pienaar, and he only provided that little flick-on lay-up which Ossie smashed. I could see either of Saha, Vellios, Barkley, Fellaini doing the same thing, even if they won't.
