Saw it today it's all over the place in terms of plot and the last act just seems rushed, re-cut and they missed the opportunity to make a better ending by sending the kid back to The Predators and a team going after them.
The B Group are funny and The Predator is good but has no hero if The Rock played it, it would've been excellent.
It's a 5/10 for me

The original will never be equalled, simple as....with these remakes it's all about expectations going in, and for my generation who saw the originals, we'll always be disappointed.... Saying that I quiet liked Predators a few years ago.... Had it been Arnie instead of Laurence Fishbourne towards the end, it would have been a decent sequel...
Its hard to find original movie idea's, everything has pretty much done already, and any particular storyline likely already has the perfect movie made, whether it be Star Wars, Jaws, Predator, ET, Breakfast Club, Goodfellas, Godfather, Shawshank, Wall street, Lion King, Ghostbusters, Groundhog day, Planes Trains & Automobiles, Home Alone, Rocky, Toy Story, Back to the Future, Terminator...

Made it through 1 and a half episodes of that. Steaming cow dung/10.
This is an atrocious film, everything from the acting to the plot, it awful. They original was just brilliant, nothing stupid or “Hollywood ridiculous” about it
Boyd Holbrook, the main actor, tries to be tough and can’t pull it off; it’s quite embarrassing. The entire film is saved by comedy which really has no place in the film.
The premise of the film is that one predator escapes to earth to warn us that we are about to be invaded. It turns out that when the predators rip your skull out and spine it’s not for a hunting trophy it’s for the spinal fluid so they can get the best dna
The predator is followed by a hunter and and those dogs from Predators.
The initial predator is caught by the army and some scientist bird is brought in to look at the DNA (her story as to why she got called in is unbelievably weak and revolves around a letter she sent to the president when she was 6).
Anyway as predicted the predator who is here to help earth wakes up and kills everyone apart from the bird, he escapes and she decides to chase after it through and army facility to catch it. It then sets off to find his ship and so does the hunter predator.
A side from this Boyd Holbrook manages to get some of the predators technology sent to his home address, his son who has autism opens it and can somehow read alien technology.
Big predator kills little predator and blows up his ship before heading to his own. He also decides to warn the army that he’s going track them on his way. Kills a few, robs the lid and gets to the ship. As it takes off the army group all jump on the roof as it’s flying off and manage to crash it. Before a fight with an 11ft predator who is quite easy to kill.
There’s loads of awful moments in it which just annoy you. It was edited by a junior by the looks of it and the fact they used the same music from the original added to salt to the wounds.
The final scene tops it off really. It cuts to a secret army facility where Boyd turns up as a general in full uniform, geeky scientist meets him and and says they found what the predator was here to drop off. Another scientist opens it and is immediately covered (like venom) in this suit, when the camera pans to him he’s turned into a predator with guns, rockets etc etc before it leaves his body and goes back to original form. Geeky scientist turns to Boyd and says “what the hell was that”, the response “that’s my new predator killing suit, I hope they have it in a 42 long”
