The possession game.

Leicester are sitting top of league having had less possession of the ball in 14 out of 16 games.

Whereas the likes of Man U, City, Chelsea & even our neighbours are losing games with 65%+ possession and cannot put a run together.

Obviously the stats will always say the more possession you have the more likelihood of a positive result.

But is the change down to poor forward play this season or are teams now more inclined to give away possession to tire out the opposition and counter attack.

I think with incisive counter and solid defending thats the key to beating possession teams. We show it all the time too, we dont press and when the ball comes to us we break with power and speed. OUR problem tho is that we dont HAVE solid defending.
