Reminded me of Brasseye at first, but it's actually a clever way of grabbing people's attention and makes a very salient point.
 
Bit of a nothing statement, really.

If you hold up a banner saying "F*** the [anything]" you'll always get people who will voice protest, not because your motive is necessarily wrong, but because you're insulting people based solely on their class/gender/whatever.

If he had a banner saying "Don't help the poor" and "Help the poor", I think the response would've been different, but wouldn't garner much media attention, even if it is for a good cause, like in this case.

I'm wary of supporting charities as most of our given money goes on the charity's administration: wages, office rents and general expenses. We're effectively supporting an industry more than we're helping people.

I've got much respect for those who directly help people in need, not involving money, but involving time and effort. Society needs more people like this.
