The plot thickens

Unbelievable really.

And it's not as if they've killed their unwanted new baby or anything, that would be equally as terrible but the eldest is 13 and the youngest 5, which makes it a very strange story.

But wow, absolutely despicable if they're guilty.

The story is horrendous. Shocking enough hearing about those poor kids dying in the first place. Takes it to a whole different level of horror to think a parent could do this to their own children. Horrific.

Not proven guilty yet!

Although tbf when the story first broke and it came out that 'the parents weren't in the house and ran down the road screaming the house was on fire at like 4am or whatever' I did think hhhhhmmmmmm really?

No middle ground here.

Either they're guilty of one of the most unimaginable crimes possible, or their grief and suffering has been multiplied a hundredfold.

Hard to work this one out.

Apparently the father came running from the opposite end of the street really early in the morning not long after the fire had started. With the time of it it doesn't look like coincedence but you never know. Hope they rot if its true.

I felt heartfelt pity for them when the news first broke but the press conference the next day didn't really sit well with me. If I'd just lost six children, I wouldn't be able to face anyone, let alone a room full of sensationalist journalists.

I'll reserve judgement until the court case is done and the full truth comes to light.

Yeah of course they haven't actually been convicted as guilty so we must reserve judgement. It's a really strange case and if they are guilty, throw away the key.

I didn't know about that " running down the road " bit. Bloody hell, any "proper" parent would at least try to get some of their kids out. Irrespective of the danger. I know "I" would

You'd do it without even thinking. Nothing else would matter. Instinct would make you do it. Kids or die trying.

I hope to God this isn't true. Hate to say it but I'm sure if the police have gone as far to arrest the parents, they'll have some damn strong evidence to justify it.

If it is true then there are no words, really.

"The evidence was reviewed by a Crown Advocate from the CPS East Midlands Complex Casework Unit, who decided that there was sufficient evidence to charge and that it is in the public interest for a prosecution to take place."

Doesn't sound entirely convincing does it ?

Not just arrested, charged. The bizzies must have something concrete.
