No way Osman generated the most fume when a certain Phil Neville was at the club.
The tackle on Ronaldo earned Neville some reprieve points that in the end were swamped by the Wigan back pass, but Osmans Euro goal and headed winner against City just couldn't overcome the geographical shame of being born that close to Skelmersdale.

It'll probably be Martina.....hes not liked for not being Jonjo Kenny.

Is there a thread for the other end of the scale....Mo Besic for being Mo Besic!?

The Osman Award is given each year to the player who generates the most fume on GOT. The player who causes the most negative posts by starting, or being subbed in, or even just by continuing to be on the team. The player most likely to have a poster claim that watching him play gave him "eye aids".

It has to be some one who plays at least occasionally (i.e. Niasse not eligible). The quality of the player in actual reality should not be a factor, although I guess that goes without saying.

Write-in candidates will be added if there is sufficient demand.

Anyone who leaves in this window will be removed.

Some past winners:

Tom Cleverly 16/17
Tim Howard 15/16
Leon Osman 14/15
Leon Osman 13/14
Leon Osman 12/13
etc.
Thought it was about who was the Clubs next super grass...either way I'm going with Williams

Ive had a bet this year with my dad as to who the new scapegoat of the fat thicko whi sits behind me at Goodison will be. Used to be Fellaini, then was Lukaku, but now he's gone so we need a new one. Ive gone for Sandro, as it seems he immediately doesnt like any fancy dan foreigner. We'll see if Im right by the end of the season, though the Ruzemberok game, it was all about him abusing Calvert-Lewin so I might be wrong. In the first 10 minutes of the game he said 'Its not that I dont like Calvert-Lewin but...' at least 3 times. We get it, you dont like him.

Can it be Osman? I know he doesn't play for us anymore but just seeing him on telly last night, dressed like a dad going to court to fight for custody rights, it really boiled my urine. Can't stand even stand seeing him or reading his name.

Hard to say at this stage.

Barkley will clearly be the winner as things stand, as he is kicking everyone with any incline of respect for Everton square in the balls by running his contract down to leave on a free.

Rooney's good start and excellent decision to retire from England duties has been torn down with his stupid off field antics, so he is now a good outside bet to get both barrels when he has an off game.

Klaassen has looked a bit lost at times but will hopefully adapt. The big price tag will be used against him if he does become Steven Naismith.

Williams is always in with a shout.

1. Davy Klaassen. Big price tag, and from the little I have seen of him so far, is more of a tryer (with obvious strengths though) than a skillful, exciting to watch midfielder. Think people may find him frustrating. He also looks like Naismith.

2. Cuco Martina. Some had it in for him before he kicked a ball and the poor header in pre-season at Genk and getting given a hard time by the Ruzomberok winger has done him no favours. If people could actually judge him game by game they'd see he isn't anywhere near as bad as they make out and has something to offer as a flexible squad player.

3. Ashley Williams. Due to those pictures floating round of him having a beer gut which I am guessing were a trick of the camera because some are still mentioning him being out of shape now when the reality is quite different. There is evidence from the Split away game of him going over to the fans and he has no fat on him whatsoever. Laughable that some fans are still claiming this. Loads didn't like him before that and like Martina has had some dodgy moments to far which hasn't helped.
