I've seen Argo, it was ok Silver lining play book was better, a nice warm hearted look about people mental health problems.

Meh. Ive gone off QT for a while now, but I think thats a bit 50/50 on either side with Guru Murphy wanting a serious interview for a news program. Tarantino was doing hundreds of press interviews to promote his film and himself and nothing more.

He just makes overlong fluff now anyway

I really enjoyed Argo. Les Mis' was good if you like that sort of thing. Haven't seen the others but even so, picking the best
picture depends on the terms of reference. By that I mean, even if you didn't like it, could you see why artistic merit could
be enough for it to win? Doesn't matter much, anyway.

Tarantino's been getting stick from Spike Lee for joking around with the African American *holocaust*. I expect he's under a lot of pressure. I dont know why Tarantino went off like that over the violence issue though. He should have rebuffed Murthy by simply saying that the arts have license to do what they want and simply reflect what's happening out in the real world. Murthy was just being a pain in the arse liberal. I'd imagine on another day Tarantino would have taken him down a bit more gracefully.

That was hilarious. First time I've seen an interviewee pushing a new film actually state that's all those interviews are: a commercial.
