So I'm not an American, but I'm still fairly tuned in to what goes on politically over there and I'm aware of the satire of The Onion, so I'm not taking this literally and getting needlessly offended.

However, this article on their website about John McCain is... well, shocking in my books. I'm a fan of satire but this just feels nasty to me.

Republican National Convention officials are confirming that John McCain, the five-term senator from Arizona and former presidential nominee, has just shot and killed himself during his address to GOP delegates.

“John McCain shot himself,â€￾ a visibly shaken Republican delegate told reporters as medical personnel rushed the stage. “He started rambling on about how somebody needed to send a message that this party had veered too far off course, and how if nobody else was going to do it, he would. Next thing I knew, I heard a gunshot.â€￾

watching the RNC convention, its clear that McCain is the only sane man in that party

seriously, watch huckabee and try not to drink yourself into insensibility
 

With the recent spate of gun murders over there in the news the last couple of weeks, I think it might be just a little disrespectful like.
