The next Everton CEO - a crucial appointment

Has to be someone from outside. Too much mutual backslapping over the years, a 'club' within a club.
The deals we've done, kits, sponsorship have not taken full advantage of the global marketing value of the EPL let alone promoting the club itself.
We need to be more business like, more professional, something a few of us thought would happen after Moshiri, but, with both Elstone, Kenwright, and others to be fair, we've plodded the same safe path to mediocrity.
Potential alone should interest the better applicants, add in the stadium move and we should be looking higher than the abysmal drivel we've had the last few years.
Has to be a change of mentality at Everton and that has to start at the top.

I dont know much about her beyond the surface knowledge of her EitC work. Many would suggest she doesn't have the corporate contacts that's required to cut serious deals for the club.

That's the point Dave...she HAS got the corporate connections and contacts. She broke through the glass ceiling a while ago...a more user friendly version of Mrs Peschelido at Wham. CEO at Everton would actually be a stepping stone for her, she'll finish up at one of the big corporations.

Need to bring someone in. Without a doubt if this club is to move forward and back to the high esteem we were once held (you have to go to the last time we won the League) we need an aggressive robust CEO with a good football business brain who will set the bar high about where the club will be in 5 years or 10 years.

Not just Elstone but the club as a whole have been plodding along for the last 20 years without any real impetus, even when we've got the new money and spend big on players plan for a new ground the current CEO is dithering and not matching the ambition that we want or that of a 'big' club like for example Tottenham. IMO they were never as big a club as us, even when we had Moyes we were sort of level but now they are years ahead of us. Tottenham show it doesn't guarantee silverware that's down to having the right manager too but as a club at least they have ambition we have a motto that we don't live up to and our history that we look back on! New ground new history please!

The RS may be on the cusp of wining the CL, but don't worry everyone.

Bill Kenwright is working night and day.....................................to put on a revival of Lionel Bart's 'Oliver'.

Exactly, Fazackerly.

Enough of old school ties who are in their comfort zone treating us like their own private club. Already said it but we need hard-nosed business and football men in charge. If we are ever to compete at the top level then we need - or, more to the point - Moshiri needs to get his house in order otherwise his dream of BMD and a successful Everton will burst and dissipate like the bubbles at West Ham.

Come on, Mosh, you can do it!

The fella that managed to sell the RS. I would hire him in a shot.

Think it will be filled internally either ryazantsev or baxendale seems to be common knowledge elstone is going back to rugby league but no names linked outside of the club to replace elstone

They opt for an internal option and it reeks of a lack of ambition.

The simple solution.

Whole club needs an overhaul and keeping jobs for the boys doesn’t work.
Think we are all hoping for this big change in direction and ambition with the appointment of a new CEO and dof and hopefully a manager but nothing Moshiri has done up to now indicates it will be that radical , CEO will be filled internally the manager will stay and brands will probably not come to work with Sam .hope I'm wrong just drpressde myself writing that

More than likely it will be DBB but maybe that will work to our advantage in negotiating sponsorship deals, you know how men can't say no to a woman so when she rocks up at coca cola and asks for 1 billion over the next 10 years they will just sign it...

Tbh you don't need a football person as CEO if you have a DOF. Or at least one we can trust anyhow.

Paul Barber, CEO of Brighton and ex-Spurs and FA (and an ex colleague of mine) would be a great choice but we’d have to offer him the moon, son and stars to head north as he’s a Spurs supporting North Londoner.

He is a mate of mine and would get a nosebleed if he moved north of Watford
