To be honest I'd be mad if we wasted £2m on a player, such are our finances. I try not to think about whether or not a player would be good value for us when deciding if they're good value more objectively speaking.

Was just watching sky sports news and nearly choked when they said 12 million for Wickham. Didn't know they paid that much. Imagine the quality players you could sign for that much, proven european skilled players. The english market is nuts...

Exactly, that Jarvis fee is insane. You'd think West Ham haven't a recent history of paying over the odds for players and then being in financial schtum when they go down.

Equally baffling though that Dempsey wants to go to Sunderland. Thought he'd at least leave for a team better than Fulham. Very strange.
