It's add ons to 8mill.

If he was playing in the French 1st Div you would pick him up for about 2m

No £10 million for Jarvis is bonkers, and if they do end up paying £8 million for Rhodes it will mean his goals have probably got them promoted, and it will end up looking very cheap. Rhodes is a fantastic player, admittedly only seen at a division one level thus far.

My point being he has only done well for one season, its a bit of a risk.

When we got Beckford for free it was a bit different.

Mostly developed in League 1...Sure he could go on to becom brilliant at Championship/PL level too but i think that is still a bit steep. I'd probably pay £2.5 up to £5 for what he has done so far. If he is great in the Championship then i'd be willing to pay a bit more.

Atleast Jarvis has played at the top level so you can gauge his talent

Jarvis is a fine player and with the English premium £10m is probably about right. I don't see why people take issue with that. The season before last he was an assist machine and people keep saying he put more crosses in last year than anyone else. He's a good player at a good age.

Jarvis is proven in the Prem, Rhodes has played in the 3rd flight and had 1-2 games in the Championship

5m is mad IMO and I would flip if Moyes spent that on a player like him
