The nets

Why did we change our nets from white to blue? Not superstitious or anything but since we've had a season and a half of dross. Blue nets out.

Well, if he's confusing the ball with the net, that means he's literally standing behind the goal, or wrapped up in the nets, both of which would explain a lot.
