Not many Bank Holidays go by without Mrs. Naisy and I visiting a NT property. I pay for a joint membership, which costs about nine quid a month. For that, we get unlimited entry to all properties, and that is excellent value when you consider most places cost about fifteen quid per person. Once you've been four times in a year, it's paid for itself. I'm not a massive history buff - I just find the places interesting, and very soothing. Any other members on GOT, and any favourite NT sites or recommendations?

Yes, me and missus have not done enough trips within the UK the last two years but I'm a massive fan of castles.

Balmoral is a stunning place and a fantastic drive to it.

Not really NT but I love the Heritage Open Days that are on next month, for years now ive tried to see as many different buildings as I can. If you like architecture Liverpool has some amazing old churches.

Only ever there for matches, but I agree with that - Liverpool is a brilliant city for history and architecture. Always make time for a good wander through the city and around the docks when I'm up.

I have Life Membership of the NT because of my grandparents, who bought it for me when I was 7 or 8. It is brilliant tbh. You get free parking at all the sites too.

My recommendations are:

- Cliveden (absolutely beautiful, and local to Wycombe)
- Belton House (also gorgeous)
- Lacock Abbey (ditto)

Thanks for the suggestions. Not really ventured out to any sites in that neck of the woods, but all within a comfortable drive for us, so will have a crack at one of those one weekend soon. Really want to go to Stourhead, but it's a bit of a schlep.
