Del has placed himself as my number-one antagoniser since that position has been vacant lately. I'd play along if he was remotely funny with it.

Not much from me Mikey apart from good post, I liked it a lot more than the last one. And agree with the main points about it potentially being the most talked-about game in history...and poor old Fred. He's one of the few players who play in Brazil rather than Europe so doubly shame he got singled out for all those boos.

I'm not sure this will be the most talked about game ever, there really isn't that much to talk about: Brazil got spanked. People often talk quite patronisingly about Brazilians living for football, but there were no riots after the game, no German's were murdered people carried on as normal.

Brazil have suffered important losses before and changed there game dramatically after. In terms of how this shapes the future of the game in Brazil I don't think it's as significant as the 2-1 loss to Uruguay in 1950.

believe me, kidda, i've received so many negs in my time that i'm not bothered about here 'n there the odd neg. Just don't want Mikey to think I'm paying him a back-handed compliment. We've already had Del come into this thread and moan about my input. It's derailing the topic, really.


On topic: after the most-talked about game in history, it was followed surely by the least-talked about semi-final in history. What an extreme contrast that was!
