The most stupid thing you've ever done...

God knows.... I had a hundred things going through my mind this morning.... Meetings, paperwork, telephone calls and I'm just so used to putting petrol in my other car.... Garage want 250 notes to sort it out ffs

You'll be lucky to get away with £250. As once they've flushed the system through, there's no guarantee the thing will run OK after being driven for 20 miles with petrol in the tank, as the heat generated may have caused damage to the diesel injection system or the bores / cylinder head.

Im currently sat waiting for breakdown recovery after stupidly putting petrol in my diesel car this morning....drove 20 miles before I realised what I'd done...... Gonna be the most expensive 20 miles of my life ffs

sorry to hear. pity it wasn't the other way around. i know of a few guys that run a 60:40 petrol:diesel ratio in their petrol engines for improved economy.

I don't know if this is the stupidest thing but...

Slept with a girl who i knew had a BF, only for her to be caught out by a housemates GF who knew her fella. She threatened to tell him before she did so off she went afterwards to tell him what had happened.

That night i went and got off with one of her mates who she wanted to set up with someone i knew.

MAJOR fumage all round there haha

Apparently my mate had him and her telling him at 4am how they wanted to get me and all that. Still to this day look at for a fat fella with long blond hair, a bit of a hurley look about him and a base guitar in his hand.

Have done this twice if it makes you feel better. A couple of months ago my sunroof was getting difficult to slide back so I sprayed the tracks with WD40, the next day I parked the car on a hill the excess oil ran down the tracks and got into the drivers light. Next time I started the car the spark ignited the oil and started a slow fire, I returned to the car to find the interior had burnt out, seats, carpets, roof lining all ruined, gutted.

That'd do nothing for the economy of it & it'd smoke like a 50's tractor, as diesel engines are based on compression as opposed to ignition of the fuel. Sounds like a pub tale that...
